Taking calls for episode 4

As Scott posted earlier, Episode 3 is now available for your listening pleasure. It's a rather long show, but the content more than makes up for it; we had a blast talking to John and Leann. The audio levels aren't top notch, but considering we were all crammed into the back seat of Scott's car talking into his 1970's-vintage cassette recorder, I think it sounds fine.

Anyway, we're now taking your calls for the fourth episode, and we'd like to hear about your travel photography habits and experiences:
  • What kind of gear do you take with you? Just a point-and-shoot, or a whole bag of cameras and lenses? Digital? Film? Both? Does it depend on your destination and/or length of trip?
  • What kind of stories do you have about your cameras and photos? Ever had gear or film confiscated in a foreign country? Had any interesting encounters while shooting locals? Ever get that one amazing shot completely by accident?
  • What do you shoot when you travel - landscapes, buildings, people, yourself? Are you more of a "here's me in front of the Eiffel Tower!" shooter, or do you get down on the ground and laboriously tweak your exposure until you get that artsy shot just right?

Give us a call, and tell us about it. Seriously, we need your calls. If this podcast doesn't take off, my mom will be so very disappointed in me. Again.

(side note: Merlin Mann offers some great photography tips on the blog at his photography store. You should go check it out.)
